RO 2:13 For it is not those who
hear the law who are righteous in God's sight, but it is those who obey the law
who will be declared righteous.
RO 2:25 Circumcision has value
if you observe the law, but if you break the law, you have become as though you
had not been circumcised. 26 If those who are not circumcised keep the law's
requirements, will they not be regarded as though they were circumcised? 27 The
one who is not circumcised physically and yet obeys the law will condemn you
who, even though you have the written code and circumcision, are a lawbreaker.
RO 2:28 A man is not a Jew if he
is only one outwardly, nor is circumcision merely outward and physical. 29 No,
a man is a Jew if he is one inwardly; and circumcision is circumcision of the
heart, by the Spirit, not by the written code. Such a man's praise is not from
men, but from God.
RO 3:1 What advantage, then, is
there in being a Jew, or what value is there in circumcision? 2 Much in every
way! First of all, they have been entrusted with the very words of God.
1CO 7:17 Nevertheless, each one
should retain the place in life that the Lord assigned to him and to which God
has called him. This is the rule I lay down in all the churches. 18 Was a man
already circumcised when he was called? He should not become uncircumcised. Was
a man uncircumcised when he was called? He should not be circumcised. 19
Circumcision is nothing and uncircumcision is nothing. Keeping God's commands
is what counts. 20 Each one should remain in the situation which he was in when
God called him. 21 Were you a slave when you were called? Don't let it trouble
you--although if you can gain your freedom, do so. 22 For he who was a slave
when he was called by the Lord is the Lord's freedman; similarly, he who was a
free man when he was called is Christ's slave. 23 You were bought at a price;
do not become slaves of men. 24 Brothers, each man, as responsible to God,
should remain in the situation God called him to.
Even though sometimes God seems
distant by one’s loss of Faith even though he observes His every Law, one must
still be faithful always. One must remember that there is one and only God, He
is not just one man’s God but also everyone’s. So who is one to judge that God
is unfaithful to all when only a minority at any moment has lost Faith.
RO 3:27 Where, then, is
boasting? It is excluded. On what principle? On that of observing the law? No,
but on that of faith. 28 For we maintain that a man is justified by faith apart
from observing the law. 29 Is God the God of Jews only? Is he not the God of
Gentiles too? Yes, of Gentiles too, 30 since there is only one God, who will
justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through that same faith.
31 Do we, then, nullify the law by this faith? Not at all! Rather, we uphold
the law.
RO 12:1 Therefore, I urge you,
brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices,
holy and pleasing to God--this is your spiritual act of worship. 2 Do not
conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the
renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's
will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will.
