EZE 36:30 I will increase the fruit of the trees and the crops of the field, so that you will no longer suffer disgrace among the nations because of famine. 31 Then you will remember your evil ways and wicked deeds, and you will loathe yourselves for your sins and detestable practices. 32 I want you to know that I am not doing this for your sake, declares the Sovereign LORD. Be ashamed and disgraced for your conduct, O house of Israel!
HOS 10:12 Sow for yourselves
righteousness,
reap the fruit of unfailing love,
and break up your unplowed ground;
for it is time to seek the LORD,
until he comes
and showers righteousness on you.
HOS 10:13 But you have planted wickedness,
you have reaped evil,
you have eaten the fruit of deception.
Because you have depended on your own strength
and on your many warriors,
MT 3:7 But when he saw many of
the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to where he was baptizing, he said to them:
"You brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the coming wrath? 8
Produce fruit in keeping with repentance. 9 And do not think you can say to
yourselves, `We have Abraham as our father.' I tell you that out of these
stones God can raise up children for Abraham. 10 The ax is already at the root
of the trees, and every tree that does not produce good fruit will be cut down
and thrown into the fire.
MT 7:15 "Watch out for
false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are
ferocious wolves. 16 By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick
grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? 17 Likewise every good tree
bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear
bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not
bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Thus, by their fruit
you will recognize them.
MT 12:33 "Make a tree good and its fruit will be good, or
make a tree bad and its fruit will be bad, for a tree is recognized by its
fruit. 34 You brood of vipers, how can you who are evil say anything good? For
out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks. 35 The good man brings good
things out of the good stored up in him, and the evil man brings evil things
out of the evil stored up in him. 36 But I tell you that men will have to give
account on the day of judgment for every careless word they have spoken. 37 For
by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be
condemned."
MT 21:18 Early in the morning,
as he was on his way back to the city, he was hungry. 19 Seeing a fig tree by
the road, he went up to it but found nothing on it except leaves. Then he said
to it, "May you never bear fruit again!" Immediately the tree
withered.
MT 21:43 "Therefore I tell you that the kingdom of God will
be taken away from you and given to a people who will produce its fruit. 44 He
who falls on this stone will be broken to pieces, but he on whom it falls will
be crushed."
LK 13:6 Then he told this
parable: "A man had a fig tree, planted in his vineyard, and he went to
look for fruit on it, but did not find any. 7 So he said to the man who took
care of the vineyard, `For three years now I've been coming to look for fruit
on this fig tree and haven't found any. Cut it down! Why should it use up the
soil?'
LK 13:8 " `Sir,' the man replied, `leave it alone for one
more year, and I'll dig around it and fertilize it. 9 If it bears fruit next
year, fine! If not, then cut it down.' "
JN 15:1 "I am the true
vine, and my Father is the gardener. 2 He cuts off every branch in me that
bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it
will be even more fruitful. 3 You are already clean because of the word I have
spoken to you. 4 Remain in me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear
fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless
you remain in me.
JN 15:5 "I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man
remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do
nothing. 6 If anyone does not remain in me, he is like a branch that is thrown
away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned.
7 If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it
will be given you. 8 This is to my Father's glory, that you bear much fruit,
showing yourselves to be my disciples.
GAL 5:22 But the fruit of the
Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23
gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24 Those who
belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and
desires. 25 Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.
26 Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.
JUDE 1:12 These men are blemishes at your love feasts, eating with
you without the slightest qualm--shepherds who feed only themselves. They are
clouds without rain, blown along by the wind; autumn trees, without fruit and
uprooted--twice dead. 13 They are wild waves of the sea, foaming up their
shame; wandering stars, for whom blackest darkness has been reserved forever.
REV 18:14 "They will say, `The fruit you longed for is gone
from you. All your riches and splendor have vanished, never to be recovered.'
15 The merchants who sold these things and gained their wealth from her will
stand far off, terrified at her torment. They will weep and mourn 16 and cry
out:
REV 22:1 Then the angel showed
me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne
of God and of the Lamb 2 down the middle of the great street of the city. On
each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit,
yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing
of the nations. 3 No longer will there be any curse. The throne of God and of
the Lamb will be in the city, and his servants will serve him. 4 They will see
his face, and his name will be on their foreheads. 5 There will be no more
night. They will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, for the
Lord God will give them light. And they will reign for ever and ever.
