I believe the golden objects in the golden room symbolize the many instances when the self was facing a situation. Each golden object could mean indifference to God’s truth when facing a difficult situation, worshipping self and his own desires come before God. The golden room could symbolize the organization in which the individual lying in it comes from and being in the same colour, meaning it also follows suit. For which the Self had attempts of redemption, the room and it’s objects was golden even up to the day the Self has passed on.
