Jesus walks on water

Jesus calms the emotions of the Mind

Matthew 8:23-25 Then he got into the boat and his disciples followed him. Without warning, a furious storm came up on the lake, so that the waves swept over the boat. But Jesus was sleeping. The disciples went and woke him, saying, "Lord, save us! We're going to drown!"

Matthew 8:26 He replied, "You of little faith, why are you so afraid?" Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm.

Matthew 8:27 The men were amazed and asked, "What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey him!"

An exercise to calm the Sea of the Mind

I have an exercise to still the emotions, to stop the negative emotions from flowing into the mind.

Visualize the Mind being like the cold, dark and stormy turbulent ocean with its many waves and ripples moving to and fro…

Feel the Mind’s emotions flowing disorderly like the deafening waves and ripples in the huge chaotic Ocean…

Then slowly imagine that the water is losing its turbulent forces…

Picture in your mind at this point a beautiful sunny tropical coral reef with green vegetation, beautiful white sands and blue crystal clear waters. The waters is so blue, so fresh and so clear you can see the very bottom of the reef. Feel the warmth and enjoy the calm and tranquility of the beautiful scenery.

Visualize in the mind the stormy chaotic ocean is changing and transforming into the calm, clear fresh waters of the beautiful coral reef. It is slowly losing its turbulent forces and slowly becoming like the beautiful blue coral reef.

Gaze upon its stillness and its white sandy bottom through its fresh crystal clear waters. Close your eyes and envision the state of your emotions as that of what you picture in your mind at this moment.
